GEOPRO Project Newsletter Released

Tue, 11 May, 2021

The Horizon 2020-funded GEOPRO Project has reached its halfway mark, with the consortium having completed 18 months of work on the project.

The aims of GEOPRO are to improve the accuracy and consistency of thermodynamic and kinetic input data, as well as the accuracy of the respective equations of state, in order to deliver a set of robust, verified, user friendly, flexible and accessible tools to optimise the management of sustainable geothermal reservoir management and power and heat production as well as re-injection strategies.  The decision-based support systems developed by the project will provide reliable life-cycle estimates for performance, operational costs, environmental impacts and risk.

The latest newsletter from the project details project partner, Zorlu Enerji joining the Turkish Geothermal Energy Association as well as offering information on superhot geothermal fluids. You can see the newsletter in full by following this link.

The GeoPro Project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 851816.
